2 Weeks until Giving Tuesday!

Help us work to make Wicomico’s unaccompanied youth No Longer Invisible and connect them to services that provide housing stability.

December 1, 2020, is Giving Tuesday and the official kick-off to our No Longer Invisible annual end-of-the-year fundraising campaign to fund our homeless and runaway youth outreach program that comes out of our drop-in Center located in Salisbury, MD.

FYP Arts & Media Drop-In Center provides an inclusive and safe space for teens and young adults in Wicomico County. Our creative youth development programming helps us identify and engage with young people living in an unstable environment or those at-risk of becoming homeless and connect them to resources and services.

What are we trying to fund? Fenix Youth Project Inc. wants to Identify and Engage homeless youth in Wicomico County. By hosting outreach events, conducting surveys, and spreading awareness about youth homelessness, we hope to further fulfill our mission to empowering marginalized youth to use their creative talents to impact social change within their community.

With this year’s fundraising goal, we hope to host 12 Closet Pop Us in 2021 to distribute free clothes to the community and in locations where young people typically congregate to identify and let them know of our drop-in center services. In Spring 2021, we will be conducting a homeless youth outreach survey where our goal is to identify as many homeless youths between the ages of 13 and 25 as possible in Wicomico County. Volunteers, as young as 13 years old, will have the opportunity to educate the community about possible legislation and policy changes that end youth homelessness.
