• Yes, the goal is to spend one night outdoors in solidarity with youth experiencing homelessness. However, if you need to leave early for health, safety, or personal reasons, that’s okay—your participation still makes an impact.

  • Bring a sleeping bag, blankets, warm clothes, hat/gloves, and cardboard or a tent for comfort. We’ll provide light food and drinks.

  • Yes, the event is held in a secure, supervised location. Volunteers and staff will be on-site throughout the night to ensure safety.

  • We will monitor conditions. If severe weather arises, we’ll have an alternative indoor option so the event can still happen safely.

  • Yes. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a permission form signed.

  • When you register, you’ll be directed to create a personal fundraising page. We encourage each participant to raise at least $100 by sharing their page with friends, family, and coworkers. We’ll provide templates and tips to make it easy.

  • Absolutely! Groups, schools, churches, businesses, and families can register together. Teams can set collective fundraising goals and support one another.

  • You can donate directly or support a participant’s fundraising page. Every contribution helps youth access housing, healing, and hope.

  • Yes. We’ll provide a light dinner and breakfast, plus hot drinks. Restroom facilities will be available on-site.

  • The evening includes a welcome program, youth stories, and a candlelight reflection before settling in for the night.

 

🌙 Sleep Out Agenda – Sunday, November 30

6:00 – 6:30 PM | Check-In & Setup

  • Participants arrive, set up their sleeping space (cardboard, tents, sleeping bags).

6:30 – 7:15 PM | Welcome Activities

7:15 – 8:00 PM | Community Meal

  • Example: soup, chili, sandwiches, or donated meals.

8:00 – 9:00 PM | Youth Stories & Reflections

  • Storytelling by youth advocates and community voices.

9:00 – 10:00 PM | Small Group Discussions

  • Breakout circles where participants reflect on:

    • Why they came

    • What surprised them about youth homelessness

    • How can they help beyond this night

10:00 – 11:00 PM | Call to Action & Candlelight Moment

  • Everyone gathers for a candlelight/flashlight reflection.

11:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Sleep Out

6:30 – 7:00 AM | Closing & Send-Off
